You see, her mother loved her very much but the state courts argued over Saundra parents  legal marriage License. When Saundra was born on 9-11 at 3 months old on December 11th a letter was written to her parents that the marriage was not legal. This created Saundra to be looked at in a different way in those days. After courts her mother decidrd to leave New York and she and her daughter left, never to return. Life started over and all family were lost to saundra and life became a secret. Saundra, a young girl now alone in downtown Fort Worth Texas. 

Saundras life was now on the streets and playing at the Cherry Street Firestation. Downtown is where her mother rented rooms in boarding houses that first year. It was where other people rented rooms so her daughter was not alone while she worked.

Saundra soon was taking the bus alone as a young teen and did as she wanted, There was money on the table for her, She was allowed to stay out of school and work as a carhop and soon was working all the time, renting her own room.

Years passed before she found her birth certificate had been ammended to read (Known As) 
Saundra was a woman in her late 30's when she realized her mom was protecting her from her name so she would not go back to family. You see, in those times her mother feared being found and and that she /we would be taken back.  We were missing persons.

Our lives had changed and we both grew older and life moved on.
